​Citizens Fire Academy



​The Bristol Fire Department will be holding it's inaugural Citizens Fire Academy beginning in April. The academy will run for 9 weeks and will be held on Thursday evenings between the hours of 6:00pm until 9:00pm on April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4,11,18, 25 and June 1 2017.  All sessions will be held at the Bristol Fire Department on 4 Annawamscutt Dr.

HOW DO I APPLY: You can either stop by the Administration Offices on 4 Annawamscutt Dr to pick up an application, or you can call us at 401-253-6912 and an application will be emailed to you.  Once you apply you will need to sign an authorization allowing the Bristol Fire Department to request a background check.  

There is no cost for the academy.  All we ask is that you arrive on time and don't miss more than two sessions.  Classes will be limited to 12 participants.  You need to be at least 18 years of age, and either reside,attend school or operate a business in town.

​Learn CPR


The more people that learn CPR, the better the chance of surviving a cardiac event will be! Contact the department to learn about our no cost simple way of learning CPR, as well as are low cost advance courses.

To accomplish the mission, personnel work hard to ensure a well-trained, well equipped, and educated firefighting and EMS force is available that will provide the Town, and its neighbors when called upon, with the best emergency services possible.

The Bristol Fire Department will continue to provide for the fire protection and public safety needs of our diversified and growing community by maintaining high levels of performance and standards of excellence into the twenty first century.

​Residential Sprinklers



Residential sprinklers are an affordable way to help save lives, and in many cases minimize property damage, in homes.
