Summer Safety

The warm weather can pose problems for the very young, elderly, and especially those with illness. Limit activity during the day light hours, stay in air conditioned areas, and drink plenty of water.

When visiting the beach, check to see if life guards are on duty. Do not swim too far from shore, or beyond your capabilities. Apply plenty of sun screen to protect your skin from the sun's rays.

DO NOT use fuels such as gasoline to light barbecue grills or fire pits, as flash fires can cause severe burns. Refer to a grill's manufacturers specifications for lighting instructions.
