Road Construction

The Bristol Water Pollution Control Department, together with their contractor, C.B. Utility Company Inc., will be constructing improvements to the sewer collection system along Ferry Road (Route 114).  Work will begin at the northern end of Ferry Road at the intersection with Hope Street and Wood Street and continue south toward the intersection with Ambrose Drive.  Construction of improvements is scheduled to begin November 13, 2017 and will continue into mid-December.  Excavation work will be suspended during the winter months starting in mid-December with work recommencing in spring 2018.  Trenchless pipe lining activities will also be completed as part of this effort along Columban Drive and Ferry Road with schedule to be determined.  Please seek alternate routes during construction.  Work may also require temporary stoppage of water and sewer service use for properties adjacent to the work.  Property owners will be notified accordingly prior to any anticipated temporary stoppages in utility service.  Please contact the Water Pollution Control Department at (401)253-8877 should you have any questions or concerns.
