Bristol Police Department to host the Citizen's Police Academy class.

The Bristol Police Department is pleased to announce that they will be hosting another Citizen's Police Academy Class; which will commence on Wednesday November 14, 2018.


The Citizen’s Police Academy is a 10-week course that will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Bristol Police Department, located at 395 Metacom Ave. There is no cost to attend and the course is open to all Bristol residents 18 years of age or older.


The goal of the academy is to provide citizens of Bristol a better understanding of the mission and operations of the department.


Topics will include department structure, patrol procedures, dispatch operations, narcotics, search warrants, crime scene investigation, use of force, domestic violence, traffic enforcement, D.U.I. investigation, duties of the school resource officer, juvenile crime and the court system.
