The Police department is announcing the roll out of a few new Citizen Initiative Campaigns.

It is the goal of this department to continue to foster a good working relationship with the residents of the community.

Therefore, today, Friday November 22, 2019 we are announcing two new programs to assist residents who may have children with autism or intellectual impairments, and for those with elderly relatives who may have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia.

Additionally, we are reminding residents that the Bristol Police Department also has a medication disposal receptacle located in the lobby of the police department. This device has been available to our residents since 2013. Historically, the Bristol Police Department collects on average 230 lbs of medication annually, which is not in conjunction with the DEA's (Drug Enforcement Agency) Take Back Initiative Days.  Info on the medication collection can be found here: http://bristolri.us/722/Medication-Drop-Box
